The center for Good Technology has over 10 years’ experience working with energy efficiency in remote Indigenous communities. The center for Good Technology (CAT) has been working with residents of distant Indigenous communities for over 30 years. In addition we manage a maintenance program for over 120 nonBushlight’ renewable energy systems applying the identical principles of engagement and design retrospectively as healthy as an energy efficiency program aimed at reducing household power costs. Bush light which has delivered steadfast energy services in over 120 distant Indigenous communities since 2002. Engaging and training technical service providers further prosper their capacity to install, service and maintain RE systems. Bush light delivers energy services in little distant communities using nationally and internationally recognized best practice in renewable energy system design and community consultation. The center for Appropriate Technology has long recognized that any fresh technology provided in remote areas without good training rarely improves access to services. Level one training offered to community residents living with a Bush light RE system or a system installed by another service provider (more information below). Since 2008, Bush light has been servicing and upgrading a number of renewable energy systems installed by other service providers with the aim of improving access to steadfast energy services for residents and maximizing system life. Bush light can then project manage repair work to bear more reliable energy services for community residents. A victory of the project was in the community engagement.
